Be Green, Be Seen & Be Safe With Green Strobe Lights!

While we love Saint Patrick’s Day and all of the festivities that come with it, our green strobe lights are an effective safety feature for many different vehicles throughout the year! Green strobe lights are often associated with safety and security vehicles, though we’ve used them on trailers, trucks, and even for machinery. In the spirit of all things green, this post features a few of our recent security builds and a trailer lighting install that utilizes our Wicked Warnings green strobe lights. See the videos below!

Chrysler Pacifica Electric Mini Van Security Vehicle Lights

The strobe lights aren’t the only green feature of this van as it is also electric! This video features a security vehicle lights installation on a Chrysler Pacifica Electric Mini Van. First, you will notice that we used a 49″ Fusion GLP Light Bar on the roof. This light bar is a special order item. If you would like to purchase this light bar, please email us at info@wickedwarnings.com.

This van also features our green LIN-6 strobe lights within the fog light bezel and next to the rear license plate in the front and rear. We used our 90-degree mounting brackets to mount the LIN-6 on each side of the license plate. The bracket is available on our website and is sold separately from the LED strobe light. A Mini-6 Switch Control Panel activates all the green strobe lights throughout this build.

Please note: If you utilize the fog bezel mounting location for your build, take extra care when drilling the holes for your wires. There are wires behind the spot where you will have to drill your holes.

2020 Chevy Traverse Security White and Green Emergency Lights

This video features a 2020 Chevy Traverse with white and green emergency lights for a security company. The front of the Traverse features two Feniex interior light bars in the windshield. We also installed our white LED HAW DUO Low Dome within the grille and our green LIN-6 emergency lights within the bezel above the fog lights. We synchronized the LIN-6 and LED HAW DUO to flash in an X-pattern.

The sides of the vehicle feature our Thin-X LIN series light in green-white within the back windows. We used a 90-degree mounting bracket to secure the Thin-X lights in this location.

Around the back of the vehicle, we’ve added a 6 Head Feniex Fusion light bar to match the front visor bars. Below it, you can see another LED HAW DUO LD in green and our TIR-3 in white mounted to the plastic panel above the rear license plate. We used a 90-degree bracket to mount the TIR-3, and we synchronized the TIR-3 and the LED HAW DUO to flash in an X-pattern.

We also added the Whelen Air Horn and PA system to this vehicle, and we’re using the Mini-6 Switch Controller Panel to activate the air horn and all of the white and green emergency lights throughout the vehicle.

Green and White Trailer Strobe Lights (4-Corner Thin-X Install)

This video features a trailer for Keeley’s Plumbing with some green and white strobe lights. We installed four Thin-X LIN Series lights in green-white on the top corners of the trailer. The Thin-X lights are synchronized together, and we tied them into a factory switch within the trailer. This way, the owner can activate the strobe lights without any added equipment. The parking light circuit powers the strobe lights.

Video Demonstration of Wire Swap Installation for Auto Flasher Kits - Molex Connector Pin Removal & Replacement

What are the Wicked Auto Flasher Kits & how do they work?

Wicked Warnings has been around since 2005 with stellar references and we have been using our WAF (Wicked Auto Flasher) module since early 2016 with zero reported vehicle failures. There is no known risk to using any factory lighting as flashers that we are aware of. Of course, all your factory lights will always revert to factory function when the strobes are not being used.

Many of our builds feature a combination of factory lighting as well as purpose-built emergency lights to create a more effective display, so we urge you to consider more than just factory strobe lighting on your build. We have many options available to supplement the factory lighting.

How does the Auto Flasher connect to my truck anyway?

We have 3 connection methods used in our WAF (Wicked Auto Flasher) kits. The way that we manipulate the factory lighting is through the wires. We DO NOT reprogram any of the computers. Everything we do is easily reversible, and any number of individual kits can be combined onto a single switch if desired. There is no single kit to flash all factory lights, as we must retain circuit individuality. The following three methods are used to interface with the factory wires.

  • Wire Cut: In certain lights, like the white cargo light by the third brake, the only way is to cut a single wire (at this time). We understand that some people are uncomfortable cutting wires and we are working hard to offer “cut-free” solutions as fast as we can. This is how some of the current website kits are sold. Sometimes, this is the only option to achieve the desired display.
  • Wire Swap NO CUT: This is by far our favorite solution and how most of the new generation kits will be made if possible. Wire Swap is how ALL the Headlight and Taillight kits are going to be made for the FORD and many GM trucks. We are working to update the current website options to this new “wire swap” kit and will continue noting any changes on the product online as they happen. It really is just as easy as swapping a wire. Again, the kits will have notes in the description stating which version they are. Click here to watch a video showing the Wire Swap method.
  • (NEW & COMING SOON) Plug N Play Extensions: Plug N Play extensions can be purchased for an extra cost. Please bear with us as these are all handmade and fairly difficult to source parts for. We have some availability and are waiting on some parts for others.

We hope this helps to answer any questions about our Auto Flasher Kits and hope you enjoy these products!
