As many of you know, Wicked Warnings is a proud supporter of our nation’s heroes, which is why this plow truck lighting project meant a great deal to our team. With the holiday season quickly approaching, we wanted to give back by helping those men and women who protect our freedom.
Cord Vanderpool Foundation (CVF), located in Orland Park, IL, is a private foundation that assists disabled and elderly veterans with snow removal during the winter. This specific client reached out to us because they needed to upfit their plow truck with strobe lights in preparation for the upcoming winter. The Wicked Warnings team generously donated their time and resources to upfit their Chevy with the necessary plow truck lighting for safety. Our team was also able to advise CVF regarding current laws and safety regulations to create a custom plow truck lighting system.
Plow Truck Lighting Build
Let’s take a look at the build. This client requested a clean, drill-free install on their new 2017 Chevy Silverado. This plow will be primarily clearing driveways of the veterans who are unable to remove the snow themselves. We installed several of our Wicked Warnings products found in our online store. We wanted to give the roof has a professional-looking 360 profile, so we installed the Acari Low-Pro mount and the Phoenix Fusion mini LED bar. Next, we put red LED strobes in the brake lights to supplement the roof lighting. To see the final build and our products in action, take a look at our video below.
